Example of store design production for high-sensitivity select “OPAQUE GINZA”
We worked on store design direction, VMD production, and graphic design for "OPAQUE GINZA", which opened on Ginza Chuo-dori.
Opaque Ginza opened in 1998 on Ginza Chuo-dori as the World Group's first large-scale select shop.
An information-transmitting lifestyle that demonstrates originality and topicality by providing “everyday luxury” to the career generation with an eye for information selection in a category mix of clothing, food, housing, play, beauty, knowledge, and health. As a store, we offered a new world view with a selection of products selected through Opaque's aesthetic sense.
The facade was designed by Kazuyo Sejima, and the interior was designed by Kanji Ueki of Casappo.
With a beautiful presence that makes full use of opaque = translucency, it has attracted attention as a symbol of Ginza.
